Looking at Pamban bridge as the train goes by, I am reminded of the great mahapurusha Pamban Swami, who’s samadhi is located in Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai, next to Kalakshetra. Pamban Swami composed 6,666 verses of poetry in glorification of Lord Skanda (the six faced son of Lord Shiva).
One very powerful sadhu (whom I witnessed having the ability to see things hundreds of miles away) once told me that Pamban Swami was an expert at opening the agya chakra, and that he used to roam around Pamban Swami’s samadhi, then one day he opened his agya chakra allowing him to experience the other world.
Pamban Swami was born in this small village where Pamban bridge joins Rameswaram to the Indian mainland.
